Teachers - Sławomir Tokłowicz

Sławomir Tokłowicz

From an early age I have been associated with music. The first masters who introduced me to the world of music were prof. Stefan Stuligrosz, and my father Wojciech Tokłowicz. The fascination with percussion appeared in the 7th grade of primary school and continues until today.

In 1978. I started my education at the Secondary Music School in Poznań in the percussion class under the supervision of prof. Marian Rapczewski. After graduating from the Secondary School, I continued my studies at the Academy of Music in Poznań, under the supervision of an excellent teacher, Jorges Valcarcel.

For many years, my job is mainly to be a session musician, which involves cooperation with many bands, and thus, playing various types of music, from folk, rock, to jazz and improvised music.

I have cooperated or collaborated with such bands and artists as: MBB, Lumen, New Day, Gospel Joy, Poznań Musicians’ Initiative Wielbijmy Go, Hallway, Ewa Nawrot, Zbigniew Górny Orchestra, Sakala Brothers, Marcin Łosik Trio, JRM band, Jack & John Entertainment , Remigiusz Szuman, Robert Antkowiak Trio, Gosia Andrzejewicz, Projekt Sinatra, Kasia Stroińska – Sierant, Improsonus Qartet, Swing and Classic Quartet, Sławek Tokłowicz MRS Trio.

In 2021, I started working with the Yamaha School, which also coincided with my desire to complete my education in Jazz and Stage Music at the Academy of Music in Poznań, where I am currently studying jazz percussion.
